LINDA STIENSTRA Linda graduated from the faculty of law at Groningen University in 1993 and has a master's degree in civil law and criminal law. Currently Linda is working as a business lawyer at an accountancy office in her home town Groningen. Before that, Linda worked for more than seven years as the corporate lawyer of a company that has business development, fund management, investment in start-up companies and IPR-protection as its core business. Linda's present and prior occupation have gained her a vast experience and skill in negotiating and drafting (international) business contracts, as well as a profound knowledge of the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property rights. Since many years Linda has been a guest lecturer at Tartu University (Estonia), where she gives master courses in IPR. Also Linda has been invited many times as a guest speaker on conferences and seminars on the subject of commercialisation of IPR. Besides her legal profession, Linda has a few other passions in life. First of all that's music. Linda couldn't live without it. Wherever Linda is, there is music (even at the office). Her ultimate hero is Elton John whose concerts she attends at least twice a year. This passion can easily be combined with Linda's second passion: travelling. About 6 to 8 trips abroad per year are no exception. And the destinations vary from ski-resorts in the Alps, city trips to e.g. New York and London, to beach resorts at the French Riviera and the Greek Isles. Last but not least Linda loves animals in general and her two cats in particular. There's hardly anything that touches Linda more than cruelty to animals. Linda's motto is Carpe Diem, seize the day. Life it too short not to enjoy every moment of it. Don't postpone things to the future, live and enjoy now, for tomorrow could be too late! |
